Twittering?

I have no intention of Twittering! You gotta be kidding me.

But if you must know what's going on right now...

My cat is very sick. He (Tiger) has a fever. He's on antibiotics. But he's not doing that well. I'll keep you posted.

Right now he is watching "The Usual Suspects." He loves that movie.

  1. dear mimi,

i pray your cat gets better soon.

i hope this is not totally inappropriate to write you on your blog to thank you for your books.

i could not find any other contact info for you.

please forgive if this is not kosher.

    but ...

it's uncanny. i have been getting your e-mails RE: relationships and love and men and all of that sort of thing for several weeks or months now, and it's like you are sitting on my shoulder observing the ENTIRE process! almost without fail, the daily e-mails you sent were EXACTLY what i needed to hear and learn on that particular day. uncanny, i tell you!

my guy, whom i met on an internet site, was wonderful. i never dreamed it was possible to quite literally fall in love with someone without an actual face-to-face meeting, but i did, in fact, fall in love with him.

alas, it did not work out for us, but good heavens! it was fun.

and your advice and many words of wisdom were helpful beyond my capability to convey. just incredible.

i know my "real" guy will find me someday or vice versa. : )

    please keep sending your e-mails.

    they are quite wonder-full.

thank you & best from austin, texas!

  2. Hi Denise!

Thanks for writing! I'm glad to get your comment. I love hearing that sometimes my emails come at exactly the right times. I hear that often and it's fun to hear.

Cool that you're in Austin. I love going there.

The cat seems to have 9 lives; I did drag him to the vet and found out that he has Cat AIDS! Yes, I kid you not. He has Feline HIV. The doctor said he has probably always had it. But he is completely back to normal now.

  3. Dear Mimi,

Just want to let you know I think you are a genius! I recently bought your ebook, "Calling Men" then bought "Women Men Adore" by the other author (can't recall his name). Love them both! Just wish I'd had known all this stuff long before now. I'll be 60 in November!

I'm currently in a relationship that's going so well all because for the first time I'm owning my power in a love relationship, and I credit you guys for it. I bet there are other women out there my age who are badly in need of your advice.

Thank you again for all your help and keep up the good work!

  4. Hi Roz!

I saw your emails also. Thank you so much!

The other author you mentioned is of course Bob Grant. His books are raved about by so many women. I don't know how he finds the time to do the personal consultation that he offers with his books, especially since the birth if the triplets. He's a very kind and positive person.

I'm glad we live in a time when we don't have to think of "over 50" as "out of the game."

    Life is a great journey.

    Mimi

  5. Twittering?
Great topic...Thanks for your emails on decluttering.
Back to Twittering? What do people do sit and type every time they make a move. Well I guess when you think about it. It may show how we spend our time.

    I am guilty of twittering

  6. Well, I know I'm being rude about twittering, but first of all...

The name itself sounds a like a cross between taking a leak and being a peeping tom.

Second, anyone who has time to twitter is probably not focusing too well. They are possibly bragging or lying or both... or they might say something that can get them in trouble.

I'm REALLY tired of all the bragging that goes on from the people who are internet marketers. It gets really old.... add to that the insulting people's intelligence, as if their entire audience is bumbling around and waiting for them to show them the light with their new product.

Third, twittering is just one more thing to keep up with. So is blogging for that matter.

Fourth, if we are encouraged to put our thoughts into one or two sentences repeatedly, "I weep for the future." ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off")

Looks like I talk too much to be a twitterer... if I twittered, no doubt I'd be very rude.

  7. good morning, mimi! well, once again, you have hit upon a timely (for me) subject. it's downright uncanny!

to twitter, or not to twitter?

i just discovered twittering last week during my Christmas vacation. have made some fun contacts with some interesting people. however, the marketing that has slipped in is disconcerting, and the self-promotion is, as well.

i do enjoy the little snippets of info and insight i gather here and there. like little snapshots of "people-watching", if you know what i mean.

for some, it seems to be an obsession of garnering followers. that seems really silly to me.

what is it that david letterman used to say? "This is not a competition. Please, no wagering."

i DO enjoy twitter's sister site, Blip.fm. for me, it's like a GIANT record party! (holy moly, does that date me or what?)

just my thoughts at 6:57ish on this thursday morning in austin, texas!

    best to you!
